About Aquarius
The zodiac is a circular band of the heavens that contain twelve constellations, or named group of stars. The Babylonian astronomers divided the zodiac into twelve (12) equal parts to aid them in locating the sun and planets in relation to the fixed stars.
A sign or symbol often encountered in astrology represents each of the zodiacal constellations. In astrology, a given sign is associated with the time of the year when the sun was in the constellation of the same name in the time when the signs were first used. In astronomy, what are important are the true dates of the rising of the sun in a given constellation.
Modern astrology has two major branches, the physical astrology and the psychological astrology. Physical astrology is based on the premise that the movements of the stars and the events on earth are directly cause-and-effect related. Psychological astrology, on the other hand, believes that personality traits which must be developed or overcome are revealed by the stars.
